In addition to more than 30 years of expertise in Land Surveying and Engineering, Joyner Keeny has recently acquired the latest UAS technology to provide specialized solutions for our customers’ unique needs. UAS is the term used to describe an unmanned aircraft system or drone. These are controlled by a licensed pilot from the ground. Drones are also able to fly autonomously, once programmed prior to flight, to reduce the risk of pilot error.
Our UAS mapping and GPS technology combines photographic images with the accuracy of point cloud systems. Our system is mobile and can be transported easily. It allows us to cover swaths of land that are impractical to do by general surveying practices, in a much more time efficient manner. All necessary steps to fly UAS legally within the new FAA small unmanned aircraft regulations, 14 CFR Part 107 have been completed, including the addition of a UAS pilot to our staff.
